We also build and maintain Windrush BOS, the job software our shop runs on, and help other businesses sort out their own systems.
Jack Praxis founds Windrush as a Sydney welding and fabrication business, working out of the Northern Beaches. Mostly residential and structural work in those early years: staircases, balustrades, pergolas, the occasional council job.
Bigger structural projects, on-site infrastructure work and heritage restoration, with a bigger team. Most trade software didn't understand structural steel. A 200UB29.8 isn't the same as a 200UB25, but to most of it that's just a line of text.
Fed up with off-the-shelf options, we started building Windrush BOS. It runs the whole business, from AI-assisted quoting through to jobs and invoicing, and links with the tools you already use, like Xero, Gmail, Stripe and Excel.
The work has moved toward stainless and architectural jobs, where the drawings matter as much as the welds. Windrush BOS runs our shop now, and we've started building software and systems for other businesses too.
